Chickpea Salad


  • 3 tbsp. olive oil
  • 3tbsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tsp. ground cumin
  • ¼ tsp. each sea salt and ground black pepper
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper
  • 3 cups canned chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained and rinsed
  • 1 large carrot, peeled and julienned
  • 3 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 plum tomatoes, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced

If you don’t have enough sodium in your diet, the body pulls it from the bones, thus making them weak. These foods replenish the skeletal needs of the body.
