7th of Ramadan

  • Death of the guardian, protector, supporter and uncle of the prophet Muhammad (saw), the believer of Quraish and the father of the commander of the faithful Imam Ali (as), Abu Talib son of Abdul Muttalib.

Meal 7

No-Mayo Coleslaw


  • ¼ small red cabbage
  • ½ small green cabbage  
  • ½ carrot, shredded
  • Zest of ½ lemon
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. honey
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. black pepper


  1.     Remove any tough outer leaves from the cabbage.
  2.     Trim the core and any tough stems from the cabbage and thinly slice.  

Onions & Body Cells

Onions look like the body’s cells. Today’s research shows onions help clear waste materials from all of the body cells. They even produce tears which wash the epithelial layers of the eyes. A working companion, garlic, also helps eliminates waste materials and dangerous free radicals from the body.
