Garlic Bread with Garlic Paste and Basil Pesto

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of crusty bread
  • Olive oil
  • Garlic paste (store bought)
  • Basil pesto (store bought)

 

Directions

  1. Slice loaf of bread in half, if not already sliced.
  2. Drizzle olive oil over bread, spread garlic past and basil paste over bread.
  3. Place bread on baking sheet and broil until just golden brown.

 

Ground chicken meatballs and angel hair spaghetti

Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ pounds ground chicken
  • ½ cup bread crumbs
  • 2 tbsp. chopped onion
  • 1 tbsp. chopped parsley
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 egg, whisked
  • Zest of half a lemon
  • 3 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 (14 oz.) can spaghetti sauce
  • About 4oz ounces fresh mozzarella
  • 1 box of angel hair pasta

 

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, using your hands, gently mix together first 10 ingredients. Shape meat balls and place just a few inches apart from each other on a foil-lined baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, mix one spoonful of your spaghetti sauce with olive oil. Brush mixture on top of each meatball. Bake for 15 minutes.
  4. Remove meatballs from oven, spoon some sauce on top of each meatball and cover each with a slice of mozzarella.
  5. Broil for another 3-5 minutes until cheese is melted.
  6. Cook pasta (instructions on box).
  7. Heat spaghetti sauce and mix with pasta.
  8. Serve warm with meatballs on the side.

 

Blueberry Turnover Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 box of yellow cake mix (with ingredients to make it)
  • 1 can blueberry pie filling

 

Directions

  1. Make cake according to directions on box
  2. Grease a Bundt pan and pour half cake batter into the pan.
  3. Add the blueberry pie filling and then cover with the rest of the cake batter.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Cool for 15 minutes and flip onto separate dish.
